History & Heritage

Yeojwacheon is a pristine 1.5km mountain stream flowing through Jinhae, famous for the Romance Bridge where Korean drama "Romance" (2002) was filmed.

In 1952 during the Korean War, the first public memorial ceremony honoring Admiral Yi Sun-sin was held at Bukwon Rotary.

The festival expanded into the world-class Jinhae Gunhangje attracting over 4 million visitors every spring.
