ALISOPLAY adheres to strict data minimization and complete transparency regarding how visitor and member information is handled.
Table of Contents
1. Principles & Transparency
ALISOPLAY is dedicated to assisting residents, international workers, students, and visitors in South Korea. We operate on a strict data-minimization philosophy: we do not collect unnecessary data, we never sell personal information, and we do not conduct invasive cross-site tracking.
Browsing public guides, Korea updates, the directory, and unified search requires no registration. Core discovery features remain freely accessible without personal identification.
2. Data We Actually Process
Data processed by the platform is strictly limited to information voluntarily provided in specific contexts:
- Registered Member Profile: Email address, chosen display name, securely hashed password, and interface language preference.
- Guest Personalization: Selected topics and regional preferences (e.g. Seoul, Busan) used strictly to reorder guide modules on your device.
- Saved & Followed Content: List of guides saved by registered members for quick reference and checklist progress.
- Inquiries & Corrections: Reply email address, category, and explanation submitted via the public contact or correction forms.
3. Ask Me & Search Privacy
Both Ask Me and Unified Search are architected with built-in privacy protection:
- Unified Search: Operates statelessly through URL parameters without building persistent search profiles or selling query intent.
- Ask Me Inquiries: Questions are interpreted in real-time. Neither visitor IP nor user identity is recorded with queries. Knowledge gap logging records only abstract concept identifiers to guide future editorial research.
4. Accounts & Authentication
Passwords are protected using individual salts and secure hashing algorithms. Cleartext passwords are never stored or logged.
For Google Sign-In, the platform utilizes secure OAuth boundaries; upon activation, ALISOPLAY receives only basic verified profile email and name, with zero access to external Google account data or browsing activity.
7. Analytics & Advertising
The platform does not deploy third-party analytics trackers that profile user behavior across the web. Server logs are restricted to operational security, abuse prevention, and rate-limiting.
Commercial advertising networks are currently disabled across the portal. Any future advertising integrations will feature explicit disclosures and prior policy updates.
8. External Official Links
ALISOPLAY guides provide direct links to official Korean ministries and public agencies (including HiKorea, MOEL, NHIS, and GOV.KR).
When navigating to external websites, your interactions are governed by their respective privacy policies. ALISOPLAY is not responsible for the privacy practices of external domains.
9. User Choices & Control
Users retain complete control over their personal choices and preferences:
- Modify topic and regional guide preferences at any time via the Categories page.
- Update profile details or modify authentication credentials from your account dashboard.
- Instantly opt out from newsletter updates using the authenticated link in any email.
