National AI Computing Center project advances in Haenam
The consortium targets 2028 completion and infrastructure containing about 15,000 AI chips.
Samsung SDS announced an August 3 groundbreaking ceremony for the National AI Computing Center at Solaseado in Haenam. MSIT had selected the consortium for the public-private computing infrastructure project.
The announced plan targets completion in 2028, with about 15,000 AI chips. GPU and NPU resources are intended to support startups, smaller businesses, universities and research institutions.
This is planned infrastructure, not an already available public service. Researchers and businesses should follow subsequent operator announcements for access arrangements; the sources do not establish a current application deadline or guaranteed price reduction.
